The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Fredericksburg, VA, was founded in 1978 at St. Mary as a local branch of the
worldwide Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Fredericksburg is an all-volunteer Catholic ministry that works for the sole purpose of sharing the Love of Christ by helping those in need in our area. With no paid staff, all funds donated or earned in the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store are used for assistance.
Assistance is granted only following a one-on-one interview with a trained interviewer. This allows in-depth review of the family situation. We are mindful that all donations are the product of someone's hard work. Therefore, we are very careful to put these funds to work helping families obtain a sustainable solution to their situation.
We provide assistance regardless of ethnic or social background, health, gender, political opinions, or creed.
New volunteers are always welcome.
